Every Product or Service Needs a Clear Campaign
Thursday, April 22, 2010 21:45There are too many times when marketers get a bit convoluted about their goals and when this happens during the campaign creation process it can have a really tough effect on those who are trying to get the word out. They are going to have a problem with confusing their own customers if the marketing materials are either vague or overly specific to the point of being tedious. The thing that can make a real difference is looking at the approach and seeing if it works for the type of customer that is being approached. Those customers who have a tendency to be optimistic, like the impulse buyers lottery leads, will need to be approached differently than those who have a history of being a bit harder to sell to. No matter what the customer base, the campaign is going to have to be designed to offer the most value to the reader, listener or viewer if it is going to have the right effect in terms of generating the right volume of sales.
Those of us who have been in marketing for a while now know what we are always going to have to work hard to get the results we want and this is understandable. However, newer people may not know that this is the way things go and for them, this can make all the difference. That is why keeping things clear helps newer sales folks and in the end, it generates far more sales, as well, for everyone.
